PROFUSA
PROFUSA is a research group on socio-affective processes and functions in discourse. It emerged within the Department of English and German Philology at the University of Valencia in 2023. Its main objectives include investigating the socio-affective processes and functions manifested in communication through the use of language and other multisemiotic resources.

ESTABLISH A FRAMEWORK
Identify common patterns of socio-affective processes and functions in different contexts to establish a framework of reference.
EXAMINE INTERSECTIONAL FACTORS
Evaluate the role of intersectional factors that may lead to discrimination based on gender, class, race, age, sexual orientation, among others.
CORPUS ANALYSIS
Collect corpora in different genres and contexts, where the socio-affective processes and functions of interest have a clear presence.
